After successful stints at Paul Hobbs, Vine Cliff, Chateau Potelle & Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Rolando Herrera (owner/winemaker) embarked on his own journey with the launch of Mi Sueño (“My Dream”) in 1997.  Interestingly enough, his first position at Stag’s Leap couldn’t have been further from the cellar.  Instead he was hired as a laborer to build a stone wall around the home of Warren Winiarski.

Rather than pursue a winemaking degree from U.C. Davis, Rolando’s style was influenced by the talented winemakers he worked with for more than 20 years.  Today, Mi Sueño produces a little more than 4,000 cases of ultra-premium, highly-allocated wine.  The portfolio consists of Chardonnays from 3 different appellations (Russian River, Los Carneros, Sonoma Mountain), a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and a Red Wine Blend, all from the Napa Valley.
