De Bruin Brothers was founded by Steve De Bruin and his two sons, Tyler and Nathan, in response to chefs needing a consistent supply of rabbits that are flavorful and tender. Our rabbits are harvested at 8 weeks of age and fed a combination of alfalfa, corn and wheat. Our rabbits are never given antibiotics. Tyler and Nathan De Bruin grew up helping on the farm, playing in the pastures and vineyards, working with the animals, eating quality meats, and watching their father produce and sell pork and beef products that were grown on the farm. Steve came home from visiting chefs, and he mentioned to Tyler and Nathan that there was a real shortage of quality rabbit meat. Thus, De Bruin Brothers was born; sharing the quality rabbits that the brothers were raising on their family farm as well as rabbits from other local farms. De Bruin Brothers make deliveries of rabbits to both Northern and Southern California on a weekly basis.
